Founder Story
It Started With a Passion, Not a Plan
For decades, Willie built his career working on events throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs. Along the way, he developed a deep appreciation for floral design, event decor, and the power of creating memorable experiences for people during life’s most important moments.
After relocating to Oklahoma, that passion never faded. Inspired by years of experience and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, Willie decided to start his own business and bring his expertise to clients throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding areas.
Today, Big Apple Events combines creativity, attention to detail, and personalized service to transform each client’s vision into reality. From elegant weddings and ceremonies to corporate events, graduations, birthdays, and special celebrations, our goal is simple: to create beautiful spaces that leave lasting memories.
The name “Big Apple Events” is a tribute to where the journey began, New York City, known around the world as the Big Apple. While our roots may be in New York, we are proud to call Oklahoma home and serve clients across the region.
About the Company
We are Big Apple Events, an Oklahoma City-based floral design studio serving weddings and special events across Oklahoma and the surrounding region. We don't offer everything. We offer what we do best: floral arrangements, ceremony arches, table centerpieces, chandeliers, and the kind of intentional design that turns a venue into a memory.
Our work is most at home at weddings. From an arch draped in blooms to a head table that stops guests mid-step, we design with one question in mind: What would take your breath away?
Being a boutique operation means every event receives our full attention. We work closely with couples and families to understand their vision i.e., the mood, the colors, the feeling they want to walk into and then we build it, flower by flower.
We believe a wedding should look exactly as beautiful as it felt in your imagination.
